Approaches to Learning
Communication Skills:
Communication skills contains listening, speaking, reading, writing and non-verbal communication.
Listening skills is when you listen to someone and respect them. We applied listening skills when we listen to our friends' ideas.
Speaking is when we are confident to speak. We applied speaking when we interviewed people that can help us with our PYP exhibition and we also discussed ideas.
Reading is when we read and able to understand what we are reading. We applied reading when we read the information in books or websites.
Writing is when we are able to write our scripts and summarize. We applied writing when we wrote our scripts, summarize all the information for each lines of inquiry and paraphrase the information that we got when we record in our UOI log book.
Non-verbal communication is when we are able to know what someone is trying to say without speaking, It usually involves pictures, artwork, colours, sign language, sign & symbols, and more. We applied non-verbal communication when we made our logo.

Fine motor skills is when we do small movements. We applied fine motor skills when we were doing our blog, writing in our UOI log books, and more.
Spatial awareness is when we know how to arrange things using space and organizing it. We applied this skill when we are going to display the results of the Community Canvas.
Organization is when we organize our time. We applied this when we divide our work and finish it on time.
Time management is when we do things quickly and able to finish all the work on time. We applied this skill when we try to do things quickly and manage our time to do all the work that should be done.
Codes of behavior is when you understand the rules in the group and follow it. We applied this when we follow the essential agreements.
Informed choices is when we make decide what we wanted to do. We applied this when we discussed what to do for taking action in the inquiry process and when we delegated work.
Safety and healthy lifestyle is when we stay healthy and be safe. We applied this when we stay healthy while working on the PYP exhibition.
