Tuning in :
1. We chose our PYP Exhibition group of our choice : Our class shared some topics then chose our group.
2. We discussed/planned what we were going to do : We shared ideas to each other for the PYP Exhibition.
3. We made our essential agreements : We brainstormed and discussed our essential agreements.
Deciding Directions :
1. We chose our issue : We tried to think of something that we have in common and we also wanted to help raise awareness about deforestation because we thought that it was the worst issue on Earth and that it affects us.
2. We created our Central Idea that can connect with people's feelings and that it can be connected to our emotions, feelings, cultures and more.
3. We made our 3 Lines of Inquiry : We dug deeper and deeper into our Central Idea.
4. We came up with our questions : We asked questions so they could help us focus on our research.
Organising Ourselves:
1. We delegated our work : We gave each person a task.
2. We made a list of things that we needed to do : We made the list of things we needed to do because it helps us by being more organised and so that we don't miss out or leave everything behind.
3. We filled in our action plan : We wrote our sources and wrote if it was primary or a secondary source.
Finding out:
1. We researched by getting resources from the internet and books : We used different sources to help us with our research.
2. We went to a museum and interviewed some people : We went to the museum to see some creative artwork and we interviewed people to hear opinions about the artwork.
3. We interviewed Ms. Irma : We interviewed our art teacher, Ms. Irma, so we could get more information about art.
Sorting out:
1. We sorted out our information : We started organizing our information and sources according to the lines of inquiries and the citations are sorted according to the alphabetical order at each lines of inquiry.
2. We were making different pages for different things : We made a page for each of the things we must include in the blog.
3. We started making a list that includes things that need to be done : We shared ideas and discuss what needs to be done.
Drawing conclusion;
1. We try testing each other by asking questions.
2. We wrote our understanding in our UOI log book.
3. We wrote information in the blog clearly so people could tell the difference between all the information.
Considering social action:
1. We thought about how we could raise awareness about our issue on deforestation.
2. We asked for some help from the school by asking if we could set up a booth and allow people to draw what they feel about deforestation, in the Community Canvas.
3. Before we started the Community Canvas, we announced it during the principal's assembly and we made flyers so that people will participate in the Community Canvas.
